Our canoes, paddleboats or pontoons are the perfect way to explore all 220 acres of Lake Galena. Boat rentals are handled by the Resort Boat Dock (not to be confused with the Marina) located immediately behind the Inn. Maps of Lake Galena can be downloaded below or obtained from the brochure rack located in the resort pool facility.
Be sure to bring along your fishing pole, or rent one of ours. The lake is stocked with walleye, catfish and tiger muskie. Additionally, it hosts an abundance of bluegills, crappie, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass. To help keep the fishing population healthy, size limits, protected slots and creel limits are set and inforced by a Lake Management and Ecological Committee.
An Illinois Sport Fishing License is required to fish on Lake Galena, which you can purchase online. To obtain your 24-hour, 10-day or annual fishing license online, please click here.
