Over three acres of spectacular, blossoming landscaping greet Galena hotel guests who visit LinMar Gardens. Located in Galena near our premier Galena hotel on beautiful, historic Prospect Street, the grounds are open seasonally from 10 am to 4 pm daily, by appointment. Scenery is situated on natural limestone outcroppings and graced with a wide variety of perennial and annual flowerbeds, including hostas, viburnums, conifers, grasses and daylilies. Extensive walkways, waterfalls, charming gazebos, a small mine, a sunken garden and lovely statues bring a sense of tranquility to Galena hotel guests who tour these enchanting private gardens.
The Galena Garden Walk through Historic Galena also provides the perfect way to pass a summer’s day. The gardens on display are diverse and sprinkled all around town. On this exhilarating tour, Galena hotel guests view a large variety of plants and garden styles over two days in June.
Lastly, Wooded Wonderland, located at 610 S. Devil's Ladder Rd. in Galena, allows Galena hotel guests to pick your own blueberries from six-foot-tall bushes planted in 1965 and grown chemical-free. Other organically grown produce is also available. Here, the picking season runs from mid July to the end of August.
